The screen, access and barrier to the life of others. It stands before us to show us the their intimacies: what they eat, where they are, who they are in contact with, how they feel … and it sells us the idea that it has never been easier to be in contact with each other. But is exposing our lives a way to be in touch with each other, or is it just shouting into the wind? Maybe we think we are having a dialogue, but in reality we are just looking at each other in silence: thousands of messages thrown into a sea where they are always read, but with indifference.
